On the Issues

A Message from Mike Clines for State Representative,
House District 68:

“Having lived in five Campbell County cities – Grant’s Lick area, Alexandria, Cold Spring, Ft. Thomas, and Bellevue – I can relate to many of the issues important to local families. For me, my passion for working among our people drives my desire to run for State Representative. What can I now do with my leadership skills and the experience in our district to improve the quality of life for all our residents?

As a lifelong professional educator, I know COVID has impacted schools and the families they serve in unprecedented ways. I look forward to joining the District 68 school leaders and their school communities. As we prepare for the future of education, we want to make sure students are mentally and emotionally healthy and career and college ready.

I will listen to understand. The issues of my constituents could be educational issues, better access to city water and sanitation, improved internet services, better traffic flow for our roads, or improved funding for city-specific projects (without taking funds from other necessary projects).

I believe in fidelity to the Constitution, traditional and conservative values, Pro-life beliefs, limited government, limited taxes, and conserving our environment. I already have publicly opposed Gov. Beshear on the return of students to school and to the playing fields and I will continue to do so in the best interest of my constituents. On broader issues, simply put, I will always advocate for our quality of life in Campbell County.”
